												De Berge-Astorga Sustaining Fund FAQs
The De Berge-Astorga Sustainability Fund is named after Earl and Suzanne de Berge, and the long-term Project Director Armando Astorga.
Suzanne and Earl spearheaded the formation of Seeds for a Future in 2007, and have fostered it since.
Armando, with his agronomy training and natural leadership and development skills, has tirelessly led the growth and expansion of the Seeds Program since 2009.
The De Berge-Astorga Sustainability Fund is an endowment, a permanent fund where the principal is invested and only a portion of the earnings is used each year to support Seeds for a Future’s mission.
The Fund helps ensure long-term financial stability, and its income bolsters Seeds’ programs year after year. The original gift remains intact, growing over time.
Seeds for a Future’s endowment is managed under the oversight of its board, financial advisors, and the Arizona Community Foundation to ensure prudent investment and stewardship.
There’s no minimum for contributing to our sustaining fund.
