- The Seeds Program participants are encouraged to plant, nurture, and harvest backyard farms, allowing them to cultivate their own fruits and vegetables for increased food security and nutritional value.
By introducing animal husbandry, participants have an opportunity to raise chickens for meat or eggs, goats, or other small livestock, complementing their crop yields with fresh protein sources. This initiative enhances access to fresh produce and fosters self-sufficiency and improved income opportunities through the sale of excess harvest.
- Ongoing mentorship connects members with experienced field team members who ensure guidance and support as they navigate challenges.
Cohort opportunities between neighboring members encourage collaboration and skill-sharing among participants, fostering a sense of community and collective empowerment. Micro-business opportunities equip women with the tools and resources necessary to start their own ventures, boosting economic resilience and encouraging entrepreneurship within their communities.
